Even the smallest of businesses need to comply with employment rules and regulations. We start with our HR compliance audit to help make sure all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed. We also include an employee handbook so your staff knows what’s expected of them.

Regardless of the size of your business, you need to ensure you are compliant with government regulations and operating with the best HR practices to help you achieve maximum productivity and profitability.  One way HR serves as a Strategic Business Partner is through running an efficient and effective HR function.

Take our quick audit and see if you are in compliance.  Or, you can give us a call and we will assist you and facilitate your audit on site, make recommendations, work with you to create a strategic plan and/or help design, develop and implement solutions.

We have an application on file for all employees and the application is compliant with the DOL and the EEOC.

All applications and resumes are free of handwritten notes.

We maintain the applications and resumes of the people we do not hire for 12-months before shredding them.

We have an accurate complete I-9 on file for all employees.

We are using the current I-9 that was initiated in July 2017 and expires on 8/31/2019.

All I-9’s are completed the first day of employment.

We have potential hires complete an FCRA form before we call references or run background checks.

We use E-Verify for all new hires.

We (or payroll company) complete the State New Hire registration for all new employees within the first 30-days of employment.

We have a personnel file for each employee and we keep medical and worker’s compensation information in a separate file.

We shred employee files three-years after termination.

We conduct EEO & Harassment training with all new hires and the training is documented.

All employees have participated in an emergency evacuation drill in the past 12-months and we have documentation to show who participated.

We have a current Federal/State legal poster displayed so all employees can see it.

Our exempt and non-exempt employees are properly classified.

We have used a 1099 contractor v. employee checklist to make sure we do not have any contractors that should be classified as employees.

We have W-9 on file for each 1099 Contractor.

All employees have a copy of our Employee Handbook and we have an acknowledgement form on file.

We have job descriptions on file for each employee and the employee has signed the job description.

We complete at least two reference checks for each new employee.

We run a background check for each new employee before they are hired.
